Your Questions About Relationships Problems Quotes

Mark asks…

Bible Quotes and relationships?

I have a friend who is going through a really rough break up that happened over 3 months ago. He is still in love with a girl who has absolutely nothing to do with him anymore and really needs some help (he is super depressed, I am actually really worried). I told him he should turn to God because He has a plan for everyone, and if it was meant to be, then God would find away to make the relationship happen again. He believed me and began going to church again. The only problem is that he still really depressed and is not eating, sleeping, etc. So, I was wondering if anyone knew any good Bible verses that could help in a situation like this. Some that say God has a plan, and that He will protect; stuff like that. Also, if there is anything on broken hearts and moving on from relationships that would be AWESOME too! :)

pretty much, if you know of a Bible verse(s) that could potentially help in this situation, then pleaseee let me know :)

Thank you and God bless

Lukes Love Life answers:

I’m so sorry to hear that. I’ve had a few friendships in my past end in heart-break (even just being 16)
Here are a few that might help him:
- John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

- Psalm 147:3 “He heals the brokenhearted, And binds up their wounds.”

- 1 Peter 5:6-7 “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

- Romans 8:38-39 “For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

I will defiantly keep him in my prayers. I know it might be hard for him at first, but believe me, he’ll only grow stronger from this. I know I did. If God is for us, who can be against us, right? =)
God bless

Why do people still have problems with race, and inter-racial relationships.?

I google searched ‘are there any black victoria secret models. I then clicked on a link which took me 2 yahoo answers, I scrolled down to the last answer to the question, I then came across this girl who stated and I quote ‘Nope…because black girls really aren’t that pretty’. I thought that, that answer was totally inappropriate and insensitive, it seems to me that this person has a racial problem for some reason. Then I went on her profile to see what kind of questions she asked and majority of them was about race. One of the questions were ‘How comes Black people in my school speak different than White people’ this boy then replies its because of their mothers’ not being educated, and of course my favourite part, and its also because their father’s are thugs and dead beats.
I am a proud strong Black woman, who is currently being educated, and I do not like people poisoning peoples minds with racial intolerance.
I welcome ALL types of answers.
We should just love one and other like equals. No matter if your Black, White, Puerto Rican or Asia. We we’re all created from one God (no matter your religion or race, gender or sexuality).

Lukes Love Life answers:

In America it is silly for two race of people who both have been there the same amount of time to hold resentment and hatred, as both are no more or less american. I am not american but I can see how that is ridiculous. I disagree with interracial relationships because when it leads to mixing of the races, they defile and decimate BOTH races involved.

Richard asks…

“You don’t get to have it all and fireworks are a sign that there will be problems” — agree?

I read this quote and wondered if people agreed.

It seems depressing to think that relationships with chemistry and attraction are not possible.

Lukes Love Life answers:

I think some bitter @$$ person who said that. I think that fireworks go away and the loss of them is enough to end many relationships because it feels dull if your relationship was centered around that. For those that have lots in common and built love into the relationship along the way things can go on for sure.

I am looking for online resources and web sites that have good leassons on problem solving skills for teens?

I am a liscened teacher and I want to look for ways to teach and equip at-risk youth with problem solving skills. It’s a faith based program that is teaching them life skills. Areas are problem solving, proper relationships, be encouraging to others, communication, self-awarness, and many other areas. I am looking for resources as well as online resources. I am looking for games, ideas, as well as fun ways to teach and use with at-risk teenagers. I would also like to find fun quotes, encouraging words, and things to put into a resource packet to hand out to them.

The best and most overlooked way to improve classroom education of any kind is to introduce the use of boardgames. I have taught for over ten years all over the world, and only when I use boardgames do students voluntarily insist on extending their classes for two, three, even four hours. Not only that, but they then show the most rapid improvement.

Give it a try and you will be amazed. At least you will be helping to break the monopoly that the big textbook publishers have over the education industry.
